Here
are some of the recent appearances EFT and other Energy Psychology
techniques have made
on TV and in the press.
On TV
Fear of Flying. Channel
4, 24th August, 2006 Lawrence Leyton uses EFT and NLP to address different aspects of flying phobia.
Resulted in in 38 out of 40 of the phobics being able to successfully
(and comfortably) take a flight. Particularly notable was that during
the flight itself, EFT was the participants' tool of choice for
dealing with remaining anxieties.
Paul
McKenna: I Can Make You Thin. Sky TV. January 2006 Paul
used a TFT (Thought Field Therapy) sequence to successfully reduce
food cravings, including complete elimination of a 4-litres-a-day addiction
to cola.
The Private Life of Harley Street, BBC2, 15th August, 2005 Showed
use of EFT by a Harley Street hypnotherapist for phobia of plants.
The link is to my newsletter article with more details of what
was shown in the programme. The Life
Guru. Discovery Health channel, daily Spring 2005 EFT
is used amongst a variety of NLP techniques to tackle a range of
coaching issues such as preparation for a wedding speech, confidence
building etc.
Allergic reaction subsides on Prime Time German TV,
RTL, Germany
In the
Press
Tapping
away at the fear.
The Times, February 17 2007. Case study of one man's (successful)
results of using EFT for the fear of flying. Also of interest
is the mini article underneath looking at the evidence for
EFT. The results of a comparative trial of normal EFT, tapping "non-meridian
points" and tapping a doll, versus no treatment at all, is
very interesting. While some might think they cast doubt on EFT,
they equally provide support for the efficacy of surrogate tapping!
The knock-on effects of a little tap.
Telegraph.co.uk, February 20, 2006 The journalist uses EFT to help help her
play darts performance and then runs through a host of different
practitioners using it for different applications. (Don't be put off by the picture
of the lady getting a back massage - this has nothing to with
EFT!)
Tap away the trauma.
The Times online, August 13, 2005 Particularly interesting for
it's inclusion of Dr Phil Mollan, an experienced hospital clinical
psychologist, who uses EFT regularly in his work.
Chill
out with EFT.
The Times of India online, 13 August 2003.
